The application-oriented research from molecule to product is unique in Europe. The DITF's competence centers, founded in 2020, combine strengths and promote and use synergies between the individual research fields.
In each individual competence center, research and development is carried out along the entire textile production and value chain.
So far, four competence centers have been established. Further competence centers are planned
